Hello and welcome to our school website. My name is Shane Rodgers, and I am the principal here at West Lauderdale High School. I am a 1999 graduate of Saltillo High School located in Saltillo, MS. I earned a B.S. in Education as well as a Masters of Education from Delta State University following high school. I began my teaching career at Olive Branch Middle School in the fall of 2004, where I taught 8th-grade science and coached middle school and high school football. During the summer of 2008, my family and I moved to Kosciusko, MS. At Kosciusko High School I taught Drug Education and coached football and tennis for two years while also attending the University of Mississippi to earn a Specialist of Education in Educational Leadership. In 2010 I moved to Kosciusko Junior High to become an assistant principal. I served for three years as assistant principal at KJHS before moving back to KHS to serve in the role of assistant principal there for the next three years. My family and I spent 8 wonderful years in Kosciusko School District before I was given the amazing opportunity to become principal at West Lauderdale High School in 2016. I feel very blessed to be a part of the Kingdom. My beautiful wife, Mrs. LeighAnn Rodgers, is the Assistant Principal at West Lauderdale Middle School.  We have two wonderful children, Jake, 11th grade, and Melanie, 7th grade. As parents, we are very happy to have our children be able to attend West Lauderdale School. West Lauderdale provides an outstanding educational environment, and we are all very happy to be a part of this school!
