West Lauderdale honors our military students and their families and recognizes our military through several events during the school year.
- Veteran’s Day- November 11th
- Month of the Military Child- April
- Purple Up! Day- April 19th; all students encouraged to wear purple
- Purple Up! Day 5K- April 15th at Lake Okatibbee
- Military Signing Day for West Lauderdale Students April 19th

National Honor Society sponsors a service project writing holiday cards for deployed service members in December. Over 430 cards were written for our service members this past year!
